As part of the 2017 Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival, we hosted an intimate Medieval Feast in the historic hall for just 24 diners last week.
The impressive spread of show-stopping dishes, made from the best local ingredients, was lovingly prepared by The Turks Head's expert chef, Mauli Dwivedi. it inlcuded: Blythburgh Suckling Pig, Aspic glazed pike, Tide Mill flour trencher bread, Gressingham Duck ragu and Muntons malt sticky pudding.
Our guests were fabulous and really embraced the theme withmany attending in impressive medieval attire. The intimate event for just 24 guests took place in the dining room of the stunning Bruisyard Hall, which dates back to 1354.
It was a huge success and we’ve received some extremely flattering feedback from our guests. The dining room worked really well as a venue, our guests loved hearing from Mauli about the food, and the feast was spectacular!
Susanne Bache, one of our guests, emailed to tell us: “What a fabulous medieval banquet! We thoroughly enjoyed the event as well as our overnight stay. The team at Bruisyard Hall were lovely and welcoming which made for a very relaxed and fun time. And I absolutely love the house!”
Thanks to everyone involved for making it such a joyful event.
