Suffolk is on the menu at Bruisyard Hall

Being surrounded by acres of rolling Suffolk countryside means you’ll engage every one of your five senses here at Bruisyard Hall. And whilst the house and grounds are a treat on the eye (and a gift for your wedding photography), your taste buds are also in for a treat, thanks to the locally sourced fare of our resident star chef.

We’re proud to be part of the history and heritage of Suffolk here at Bruisyard, and we love supporting the amazing, driven and dedicated farmers that give our country an enviable reputation as the UK’s best food producers.

Although the way we look at it, it’s those tireless farmers, the fishing boat captains over on our coast, and those amazing livestock smallholders who actually support us with regular supplies of freshly harvested produce direct to our kitchen door.

And when our guests sample our menus at one of our wedding open days, or taste the dishes during their wedding preparations, they tend to agree – Suffolk’s local produce is unbelievable.

Meet one of the best chef’s in Suffolk

Much like the top-quality livestock and seasonal produce he sources locally, our head chef, Richard Grinyer-Power, comes with a top pedigree of his own. In fact, we managed to pluck him fresh from his achievements running the kitchen at the 2 AA Rosette awarded Sibton White Horse, voted Suffolk Dining Pub of 2018 by the Good Pub Guide, and he’s been the key ingredient to our guest-pleasing culinary successes ever since.

His passion for creating outstanding food is matched by his love of Suffolk’s countryside producers, and a talent for sourcing their finest ingredients for Bruisyard’s guests. “It’s all about farm to fork for me,” says Richard. “And guaranteeing my guests get a real taste of Suffolk, which means fresh seasonal produce, usually harvested and delivered that very day, which makes for an incredible taste. This is great for the producers and the local economy of course, but even better for our guests.”

Richard and his team are renowned for creating custom menus and dining options for our wedding parties.
