Murder Mystery at The Bruisyard Country Estate


A conundrum, a thriller, a riddle – and you're stuck in the middle… what better setting to disentangle a murder mystery than in a house more than 600 years old, on a dark night in remotest Suffolk… You can only trust yourself. Or can you? 

Get wrapped up in the drama of a brilliantly themed Victorian Séance or a Murder on the Dance Floor Murder Mystery dinner at Bruisyard Hall. 

With professional actors, lots of guest participation and fancy dress (at your own risk), we bring the theatre (and the comedy) to the hallow floors of Bruisyard Hall. Between scenes enjoy a wonderful three course meal for 9-24 people, served by our amazing team – who you definitely can trust…

A Murder Mystery dinner at Bruisyard Hall is a truly wonderful experience, tailored to every group and is therefore suitable for all ages. Below is typical running order for the evening.

19:00 – Pre-dinner drinks in the Entrance Hall/Lounge
Actors mingle with guests and find the guests playing each part – give them their props/costume. 
19:20 – Pre scene
Guests are seated and pre scene takes place – this sets up the evening
19:30 – Starters
Quiz sheets left on the table for guests to complete by main course
19:50 Scene 1 (with professional actors and guest actors)
Guest actors participate with a cue sheet with their lines highlighted
20:20 – Main course
21:00 – Scene II (with professional actors and guest participation)
21:30 – Dessert/coffee
Guests have the chance to work out their solutions
22:00 – Reveal and Prizes
The murderer is revealed in the final scene and the prizes are given out
22:30 – Retire to the Drawing Room or Attic Bar
